Nicely balanced and up-to-date views

The great thing about Joseph Cirincione is that he is somehow able to maintain an appropriate balance between accurately portraying the risks of the nuclear age and the positive ways we can overcome them. He ends up on a positive note.
Another good thing about this book is his insider information re the most important national security issues, not just re nukes but also re what to do about the nukes of other countries, such as North Korea and Iran.
Superb work.

An honest, informative, and all around amazing new book!

This book is not just for people who are greatly informed about nuclear policy, but rather, it is a necessary addition to every person's nightstand as their next must read book. Joe Cirincione writes about, in a descriptive but easy to understand way, the truly frightening reality of nuclear weapons in our world today. The book is extremely well written and shows Cirincione's passion about fighting the epidemic of global nuclear weapons. It has been one of my favorite books of the year and I recommend it to anyone, from those who know a great deal about nuclear weapons to those who know nothing at all!
